Ozone has been used in waste water treatment for limited applications namely, color removal, BOD reduction, COD reduction etc but the applications were limited because Ozone alone is not sufficient to control all parameters of wastewater treatment.
Water treatment chemicals are frequently used in waste water treatment but chemicals are effective in removing insoluble BOD & COD. Soluble BOD & COD needs secondary treatment which is very expensive.
Our waste water treatment systems use a patented technology by combining ozone with an electrolytic reactor to control all parameters of waste water treatment i.e Total suspended solids, Biological oxygen demand, Chemical oxygen demand, Fats, oils & grease. The system supplies ozone and electronic energy through electrode cells to soil, waste water pollutants which in turn oxidize to form mainly CO2, H2O, precipitates of oxidized heavy metals and flocculate suspended matter. In most cases, there is no need to add chemicals (coagulants) and the treated water can be recycled. If the conductivity of waste water is low, we use chemicals to boost the conductivity. In other words, coagulant usage is reduced dramatically or completely eliminated.
