COOLING WATER
Value Added Treatment Programs using "tagged"
polymer called
OptidoseTM
(OptidoseTM is a trademark of the Rohm & Haas Company)
Most modern water treatment programs for cooling water rely on polymers to
control scale formation & corrosion. Typically, dosage of polymer was based on
past experience because there was no test available to find out how much polymer
has been adsorbed (used up & no longer available). Due to this problem, even
well managed systems would sometimes fail to control scale formation & corrosion
in cooling water systems. So, most polymers were (are) overfed to avoid any
surprises.
Rohm and Haas has developed a revolutionary method of tracking polymer levels in
cooling water. The new system uses a "tagged" polymer called
OptidoseTM to control scale formation & corrosion in the system. The new tagged polymer can be identified with a
simple field test. Now you can know exactly how much product is available to
combat scaling or fouling by simply measuring the level of free polymer in the
water.
Our Cooling water treatment program have proven efficiency on a broad spectrum
of applications & water conditions. A complete line of corrosion inhibitors,
biocides and dispensers provide system protection and improved operating
efficiency.
To control biological growth in cooling towers, ozone is more effective &
efficient than conventional biocides. Effective biological control, reduced
corrosion & ROI of 6 months - 2 years (in most cases) makes ozone our preferred
method of biological control.
Benefits- Efficient treatment saves Money & Extends Equipment
Life
- Avoid potential fouling situations and maintain maximum heat transfer.
- Maintain clean heat transfer, maximize your equipment life. The ability to monitor free polymer means you have early warning of fouling before it occurs.
- Minimize cleanouts over time.
- Chemical cost savings by avoiding overfeeding.
- Precise determination of Optidose polymer concentration under varying water
conditions.
